Staff Notes: Brian Dietz, Todd Kosmerick, and Markus Wust

Brian Dietz (Special Collections Research Center), Todd Kosmerick , (Special Collections Research Center), and Markus Wust (Digital Scholarship and Publishing Center) presented "Built NC: A Survey of Current Tools and Resources on the State's Architectural Heritage" at the Society of North Carolina Archivist's meeting on Friday, March 5, 2010. They discussed recent acquisitions and projects to capture and make available N.C.’s architectural history, including the papers of Dick Bell (designer of Raleigh’s Water Garden), Charles Parker (Asheville’s Grove Arcade), and James Webb (Research Triangle Park); and the Built Heritage , Beaux Arts to Modernism , and North Carolina Architects and Builders projects which have been digitizing thousands of drawings and photographs of historic buildings and making them accessible via the web.
